Let’s Get Down to Business

*cue Mulan song, only everyone is wearing business caj*

I desperately wish I could wear leggings and chunky sweaters every day of my life, but unfortunately my boss won’t let me, so today I’m sharing some of my fave brands to shop for professional clothing!

MY FAVE PLACES TO SHOP FOR BUSINESS CLOTHES:

White House Black Market – WHBM has extremely high-quality professional attire. It is a little pricey, so I try to only splurge on staples that I can wear multiple times. This black flounce sleeve shirt is perfect because I can wear it with literally any bottoms! They have a huge variety of black blouses on their website.  Unfortunately, this top is from a past season, but I found a similar top fully in stock at Old Navy (pictured left)!

Loft – The clearance selection at Loft is top notch. I always find good deals there, especially on skirts and dress pants. The Julia fit works best for me because it accommodates curves in the hips!

Old Navy – These olive booties are from Old Navy and are super comfy (hurry, only a few left in stock in this color!!)! Old Navy has really stepped up their game in the last few years and I love it! In my opinion, these clothes won’t last you nearly as long as some of the other brands, but is a great alternative that’ll make your wallet happy in the short term.

Banana Republic – BR and Old Navy (and Gap) are sister companies, so needless to say if you like one, you’ll probably like the other. BR has a wider selection of professional attire and much better quality. However, with higher quality comes a higher price, so you definitely have to take advantage of sales. Right now they are offering 40% off site-wide with code BRSURPRISE.

Calvin Klein – CK makes some of my absolute FAVE clothes! Their jeans are by far my favorite in my closet. Their clothing is a little pricey, but the quality highly outweighs the cost, plus they usually have a great clearance section!

The Limited – I love to buy dresses from The Limited. They fit me better than any other brand of dresses. In my opinion, the quality is higher than the Loft apparel but the price is pretty equivalent. So when I can get something from The Limited over Loft, I will! Only downfall: they are online only, so you can’t try clothes on in store! However, they have pretty consistent sizing and most everything fits true to size.

J.Crew – of all these, J.Crew is my least favorite, but still high enough to be on my list. They have high-quality, adorable clothing, but I find their products to be a little stiff for my liking. I like my clothes to be flexible so I can sit comfortably at work all day. Sometimes though, for a really cute outfit, I’ll make the sacrifice!

Target – Target has launched some great new professional attire recently that I am loving! I haven’t tried any of their slacks or skirts yet (any feedback??) but I am loving some of their new blouses. They also have upped their handbag and jewelry selection recently, so you can get everything in just one stop (but y’all already know that about Target if you’re obsessed like I am)!

my ACCESSORIES:

Michael Kors MK3854 Black and Rose Gold – and so much cheaper on Amazon!!! This is my absolute favorite watch!

Ettika Daydreamer Tassel Earrings – I’m loving these fun statement earrings that I got in my FabFitFun Winter 2017 box! I wear them all the time because they go with almost anything!

Miztique bags – I found this adorable Miztique circle bag at a gently-used clothing store in my hometown. However, Miztique does sell their handbags on Amazon. They are affordable and have great reviews so they’re perfect for stocking up.
