Happiest of Tuesdays to You!
You know that feeling when you’re sick and you are certain you’ll never get better? Then one day before you know it, you wake up and realize you feel great again? And you honestly feel like you are super(wo)man and can do anything and everything? That is totally how I’m feeling today.
Today is the first day in 5 days that I haven’t sat on couch all day binge watching Friends and drinking hot tea. Yesterday, instead of putting make up on, I laid it all out in front of me and made a blog post about each product (Missed it?? Click here to read). Today I feel so much better and have had a great day getting back into the swing of things!
For my first day back at adulting, I snuggled up in this gorgeous chenille sweater from Target for a better transition from bed to desk. This thing is so soft I kind of felt like I never even left my bed. I have a feeling it is going to be on major repeat this fall, even on days I’m not recovering! For your reference while shopping, I am wearing a size XS. The small fit me great as well just a little baggier. I personally chose XS because I usually wear tanks under cardigans, but if you want to wear long sleeves underneath then you may consider the baggier size. It also comes in 3 other colors…I’m already adding them to my cart!!
I paired the chenille with arguably the cutest and comfiest high-waisted jeans from American Eagle. I love a good pair of stretchy jeans, and these ones are top notch, plus the multi-buttons are super popular right now! AE jeans were never my favorite in the past but I decided to give them another try after seeing several positive reviews from other bloggers and now I’m obsessed! My only complaint is that I’m completely in the middle of two sizes at AE (always have been). Both sizes fit and can be buttoned all the way, but one is just a little tight and the other is just a little loose. Most jeans will stretch after a few wears, but I don’t ever want to be uncomfortable in jeans so I went with the larger size. For reference, I am wearing a size 4.
Basically, I threw on some super-comfy, super-woman clothes today and had the best day-after-a-sick-day kind of day! It really makes me wish every day felt like the day after a sick day. What is stopping me from that? What is stopping all of us from that? We get to live another day on this earth and we can do anything we set our minds to. So let’s buy all the chenille sweaters and crush all the things that come our way.
