We officially have snow on the radar this week in Kansas City and I’ve pulled out all of my favorite outerwear to share with you!
Vest are by far my favorite outerwear staple because I love to be as warm as possible! They are perfect for this transitional weather because you can wear them to and from work in the morning and easily take them off during the day as the sun starts to warm up the temps a bit.
I rounded up my favorite puffer vests for all of you to easily shop. A few of these are from past seasons, but for those I have found almost identical options for you. It’s so cold and rainy today, so I paired all of these outfits with the cutest clear bubble umbrella. It’s under $15 and perfect to pair with anything you’re wearing! Say goodbye to clashing umbrellas!
If you’ve been following along on my recent blog posts, you know that leopard is my absolute favorite print. So it’s no surprise that this vest is my favorite. I love pairing leopard with basics because it adds a bit of flare and sass without going over the top. This one is from Juicy Couture, but this similar Loft leopard vest is selling like hot cakes this season!

The Old Navy puffer vests are a crowd favorite and go quick every year! This pink one is my favorite color this year and is so warm on the inside! They do sell a less-puffy version if you don’t want it to be quite as puffy, but like i said I like to be very warm, and the big puffy ones have a soft lining on them that the smaller ones don’t have. I’m wearing an XS above. I recommend sizing down if you like your vests to fit snug.
This textured gray vest is a new one from Old Navy this year and I’m obsessed! Gray is my go-to basic color so I’m excited to finally own a gray vest.
If you’re looking for an extremely high-quality vest, J.Crew makes AMAZING vests! I absolutely love this red vest for winter and I know it’ll last me for several years. I found a similar red vest at J.Crew Factory that is a little bit of a deeper red and would be perfect for fall and winter. I recommend sizing down in J.Crew vests as well. This one is an XXS.
Confession: I’ve had this herringbone vest for about 5 years!!! It hasn’t gone out of style and I’m not sure it ever will, so I may need to order this similar herringbone vest I found for you that I think is even cuter than mine!
I love a good black vest to throw on over a long sleeve tee (print or non-print, graphic or non-graphic). This one is the less-puffy version of the Old Navy vest. Again, I’m wearing an XS.
