JCPenney Spring Try-On

Hey there friends and family!

I hope you are all having a great mid-winter, kind-of transition to spring! I’ve been soooo busy lately with my full-time job and with my blog and Instagram starting to take off. Most days I head to work in the morning, Instagram my way through lunch, cook dinner and work out in the evenings, stay up late working on more fashion finds, go to bed, then do it all over again!

This last weekend, I found some time to head to one of my favorite underrated stores, JCPenney. Disclaimer: I worked here in college for 1 year, and absolutely loved it! I never realized how much I like their clothes til I was around them all the time.

After picking up 2 arms full of clothes, I decided I’d make a try-on session out of it and photographed each outfit in the dressing room! For those of you that are gearing up for Spring, this post is for you! Get these while they’re hot and on sale and be ready to look your best all Spring and Summer long!

The best part about JCP is that they almost always have promo codes! Currently, you can use code ‘4TOSAVE’ for 25% off $100 or more or 20% off under $100 plus free shipping.

Shop: My Michelle Sleeveless Jumpsuit (wearing size xs)

This jumpsuit is 100% the style I’m going for this Spring and Summer! It’s light, flowy, and super adorable! I love the stripes and floral together. The back has straps that you tie at your neck, which gives it a casual touch. I would pair this with white or nude sandals for a more dressed down look or nude strappy heels for a dressed up look!

Shop: Lavender Premier Amour Sleeveless Lace Sheath Dress (wearing size 2 – I’d recommend sizing up maybe, this is a little tight on me)

This dress is so perfect for any weddings you have coming up this season. It looks very similar to a super popular dress on Nordstrom’s website, but it’s half the price! This lavender is actually my favorite color – maybe that’s why I like it even more than the Nordstrom dress! I’d pair this with a statement necklace or earrings, maybe a light cardigan depending on the weather, and some strappy heels!

Shop: Yellow Premier Amour Lace Sheath Dress (wearing size 2)

Another perfect dress for any events you have coming up! The thicker straps on this dress make it more appropriate for formal settings as well. And I love the hem on the bottom of this one!

Shop: Artesia Peasant Dress (wearing size xs)

This was my favorite piece from the whole try-on! This dress is insanely cute, flattering, and SOFT! The detail is gorgeous, and you can pull the sleeves up over your shoulders if you don’t want it to have an off-the-shoulder look. Looking back on this, I can’t believe I didn’t buy this (it wasn’t on sale this last weekend) so now I’m going to buy it with the 4TOSAVE coupon!!

Shop: A.N.A Pink/White Long Sleeve V-Neck Blouse (wearing size xs)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings (junior – wearing size 5)

For my fellow ladies who want to buy all things Spring but work in a corporate setting and can’t go all out – this is the perfect option for you! This pink and white striped shirt seriously screams Spring, but is still so dressy! I paired it with white denim here, but you could definitely dress this up with slacks! I love that it’s longer in the back and shorter in the front – it gives the illusion of being tucked in!

Shop: A.N.A. V-Neck Button Blouse (wearing size xs)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings(junior – wearing size 5)

This top had so much potential for me but I wasn’t feeling it! I wanted to share anyway because I think it was my body type that wasn’t jiving with it. I absolutely love the print (it comes in a few others too), but ultimately was a little too boxy on me. I’m wearing the XS here, so I’d definitely recommend going TTS or down one even.

Shop: Arizona Pink Anorak Jacket (wearing size s)

Shop: Striped Sweetheart Neck Blouse (wearing size xs)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings(junior – wearing size 5)

Light pink, black, and white is my favorite color combo right now! I don’t know why I’ve been so drawn to it this season, but it just seems to go together so well! I love jackets like this for Spring so you can throw them on top of a short sleeve short like this one! I’m wearing the smallest size in both of these options, and I’d actually recommend sizing up one in both. The jacket looks like it fits well but I couldn’t comfortably button the buttons unless I went up to the medium (it’s junior fit).

For the striped top, note that I’m wearing low-rise jeans. I normally wearing high-rise but didn’t see any in stock at my store. If I had those jeans on, there likely would not be any midriff showing!

Shop: A.N.A. Olive Green Anorak Jacket (wearing size s)

Shop: Striped Sweetheart Neck Blouse (wearing size xs)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings(junior – wearing size 5)

Same look, different jacket! Olive jackets are so in this year, especially with stripes! This jacket is women’s fit and I’d actually size DOWN in this one (see this is why I’m here haha)! I’m wearing the small because they were sold out of the xs in the store I was at!

Shop: St. John’s Bay Tie Shirt (wearing size s)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings(junior – wearing size 5)

This shirt is under $15 and seriously SO cute and comfortable! It comes in several colors, but I love that yellow is making a huge come back right now! I’m wearing the small, and its long enough to cover the low-rise jeans I have on. Since I normally wearing high-rise, length wouldn’t be an issue for me at all!

Shop: Worthington Boucle Tank (wearing size 2)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings(junior – wearing size 5)

Another GREAT piece for my corporate ladies! You can actually get a matching skirt and jacket to go with this top, and I love them all! I would dress this up with white or black slacks and heels. For a more casual and summery look though, you could totally wear denim or shorts and sandals!

Shop: Arizona Button Down Tie Front Shirt (wearing size xs)

Shop: White Levi Jeggings(junior – wearing size 5)

Last but not least, I fell in love with this button down tie shirt! This style is so popular, and I love the yellow and white stripes!! Again, with higher rise jeans, these would not show off any midriff. Because this is juniors, I’d recommend sizing up. I’m wearing the xs here, but it was a little snug!

And that’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed my JCP Spring picks! If you decide to purchase, leave a comment, email me, or DM me on Instagram and let me know! I love to hear from you!
