3-Month-Old Baby Must Haves (Flora’s and Mommy’s Top 10!)
Hi! Just as I did after the first two months, I wanted to share the top 10 products that we have found helpful in our third month with a baby! Of course there are necessities you need like diapers and pajamas, but these are just 10 random items that we couldn’t have made it through without!
We’re still using everything from the first 2 month posts so be sure to check those out too!
I thought I would only use this cover as a nursing cover, but WOW it is handy! This past month, Flora has been able to see better and take things in so she gets distracted by literally everything! When I really want her to sleep, I put her in her carrier with this cover over us and she falls right asleep (otherwise she just wants to look around)!
Okay, these are pricey, I know. But hear me out! They are THE softest baby socks I’ve ever felt and the only cozy socks that actually stay on her feet! I bought 2 sets of them and she wears them every single day! They come in gray and blue too!
This was my 4th try on a baby wrap/carrier and has been a winner for us! Flora loves this carrier and always falls asleep on me. It’s very easy to put on and has worked for Flora ever since I got it when she was about a month old. We have the cream color! I use it for all errands now and family walks!
These bags make sterilizing bottles, pacifiers, and pump parts SO EASY. Instead of waiting for water to boil, just pop everything in the bag with some water and throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Each bag can be used 20 times!!! So the 12 pack of bags is good for 240 uses!
If you’re struggling to get your baby to do tummy time, this toy is a must! It moves around randomly on the floor in front of them and will keep Flora’s attention for 10 or more minutes! In the 3rd month, babies are able to follow a moving object, so this toy is best saved for month 3!
I was skeptical to buy this because of the price but it works really well for baby acne or irritated skin! Flora had a rash on her chin at about 5 weeks old and this stuff completely cleared it up. We use it all over her face now after every bath and as a spot treatment if she gets a little acne spot. It always clears things up overnight! I also use it on her diaper creases where sometimes her skin gets irritated and it seems to help with that as well!
Some time around 3 months, your baby will be able to see the color red. I highly recommend having a book with a lot of red ready for them to look at. We happened to have this Owl Always Love You book that has 2 pages completely filled with red leaves. She looks at this book almost every day, and it’s as if she could see the color red overnight because one day she was completely mesmerized by those pages! It was adorable to watch. I love seeing her little brain work!
This is just a personal preference, but we have had really good luck with the Comotomo baby bottles! We did have to order the slow flow nipple for them so the milk wouldn’t come out too fast, but Flora has taken to them really well so I wanted to share in case you’re looking for a good bottle!
Because I carry Flora in her carrier for walks, I felt like I needed to get her a little hat as the weather cools down. I have really loved these hats with the bow on them for fall because they’re lightweight and perfect for just keeping the cool breeze off her ears and head. Plus they are absolutely adorable!!!
This is another personal preference, but y’all… I can’t tell you how many dang pacifiers we went through before finding one that Flora wouldn’t immediately spit out/drop! A lot of people swear by the MAM pacifiers but those just didn’t work for us. While I’m typing this, I can see on our baby monitor that Flora still has her pacifier in her mouth during her nap after 25 minutes!
