Sneak Peak At Our New Home + Inspo For Renovations

This is long overdue, but I finally got around to uploading all of my home pictures to my computer! We closed on June 20th, and the first thing we did was take pictures of the ENTIRE house so that we could always remember how much we changed and updated!

Overall, the house was in really good shape! It’s 25 years old and had a few updates (like white trim and a few light fixtures), but we wanted to complete modernize the place and give it a fresh feel!

So the below pics are all the BEFORE pictures, completely unedited, with a few “after” hints 🙂

We already spent 10 days painting the house before moving in, and went with a VERY neutral color palette! Only white and greige throughout! We figured if we went with neutral walls, we could always play around with the decor. We want our decor theme to be “Industrial Farmhouse”, which is a combo of both of our styles!

ENTRY WAY

The grand entry way has 18 foot high ceilings and a stacked window above the door! You can go up the stairs to the bedrooms or stay on the first floor with the kitchen, dining room, and living rooms.

Everything you see here is now WHITE and looks so much cleaner! We’ve changed the dining room light fixture (straight ahead in the red room) and have bought the new entry way fixture but haven’t installed it yet.

MAIN FLOOR AREAS

Our kitchen, dining room, and living room are all separate rooms, but flow together really well with big open doorways and wall cutouts! We thought about knocking down the wall between the kitchen and dining room (pictured above), but decided to hold off because we don’t really mind it how it is!

I love that the kitchen came already updated some! We painted the walls and want to update the hardware but that’s it!

The living room is what sold me on the house! The house was built on a hill, so the trees in the back yard are planted way farther down than the main floor, making it feel like we are up in a tree house!

Our 18 foot ceilings just scream TALL CHRISTMAS TREE! And I can’t wait!!!

Hint for after pic: boring bathroom turned adorable industrial farmhouse bathroom! We loved that the sellers already had industrial-like shelves and toilet paper holders so we decided to keep them!

LIVING SPACES

I cannot WAIT to show you the “after” of our bedroom! Hint: these mint walls, plain white fan, rolling shades, and popcorn ceilings — GONE-ZO!!!!

We have a big, spacious bathroom that I love! Gives us plenty of room!

Our guest bath is also very spacious! This is one of the rooms we haven’t gotten to yet, but we have big dreams for it!

Lastly, our two extra bedrooms are now our own offices! They’re identical, so I’m just sharing this one, which is actually my CLOFFICE – Closet/Office! I am so excited to have an entire space for my blog work!

So there it is! All the before pics! Stay tuned for after pics – and if you have any ideas for us, comment below!!!

Love Always, Chloe
